I was going to write about this for my beauty column but there are blushes elsewhere in the issue, meaning you get a rare beauty post - the life-changing powers of beige blush are such that I feel compelled to write about them anyway. You can stop reading if you’re great at blush, love the blushes you own and love the way they look on your face.
I am crap at blush. It never quite looks how I want it to look. All I want is for the blush to diffuse gorgeously and look hyper natural, which doesn’t feel like asking for the moon. Can I easily achieve this? No. I always look like I’m very obviously wearing blush (this is the one exception - because it’s pretty beige, I now see). Also I don’t like using 95 products on my face and want to look sun kissed and healthy through blush alone. Again, this doesn’t feel like an unreasonable request.
I have also always used blush that is either broadly pink or broadly peachy - and that, it turns out, was the issue.
