Quite aside from anything else, The Garden Against Time by Olivia Laing, published yesterday, surely wins book jacket of the year. I’m so looking forward to reading this, and to going to a talk she’s giving locally at the end of the month (all the talks are listed here). The book is about gardens and ideas of paradise, and about her own garden in Yoxford in Suffolk. If you want a taster, she’s written about it here.
