Our screen rolls down when we turn everything on - we have pictures and a large mirror on the wall behind it - with enough clearance for the screen. The projector is virtually invisible on a shelf over a door. Richer Sounds helped us get our heads round the tech - and we do now have sufficient remote controls that a friend's daughter was moved to ask if that's what old people were collecting now.
I find Ella’s writing absolutely enchanting. Loved this Q+A. Also slightly embarrassed at how much I love a ‘what’s in my bag/fridge’. I could read or watch them all day.
Well Ella sounds marvellous! I swore I wouldn’t buy anymore cookery books but I may need to review that. Thanks India, the Q&A format is great - I am very curious about what’s in other people’s fridges and the contents of handbags.
I LOVE the Q & A format. Very immediate and revealing. Please do more -- you know so many interesting people. And, strangely, both this post and Lucy Deede's Life In The Slow Lane, are writing about handbags. Is the universe trying to tell me to replace my ancient tote? Just wondering. Thank you, as always for a lovely read.
Oh my word! I am entranced. This post has improved my day enormously. I loved the extract and yes India, I like the Q & A format, truth be told, not a format I always love, but your questions were perfect, as were the answers. I thoroughly enjoyed this post and am ordering Ella's book immediately (was already on my wish list post a previous mention by you). Have also ordered a sample pack of the Savvy Ferments she mentions - they were free (how brilliant!) - just pay postage. Thank to you both.
Loved this thank you - off to buy the book :)
Just back home and have devoured this - and off to buy this book NOW. Thank you both
Love ❤️

So am I. I'll do more, though her answers are fairly unbeatable I feel.
Love the Q&A- my favourite type of read. And the book has been duly requested as a present to myself! X
Clever you! I love a Q&A too, I'll do more.
What a generous post, from both of you. Also: gold skirting boards.
I quite want some now.
Oops…result misery. Good dinner +10%….result happiness. Just brilliant🥰
I have fallen instantly and irretrievably for this Mr Micawber of home cooking…bad dinner - 10%…result
I love her maths.

I'm really pleased people like the Q&A format - it's my favourite but newspapers frown on it. I'll do more. Heed the universe...
