These aren’t ‘the best books of 2023’ - they’re just a list of the things I’ve most loved reading over the past year (that I can remember 👵🏼). I’ll do a separate list for food books and cookbooks.
I’m describing who I think the book in question would make a particularly good present for because it might be helpful, but obviously you can give any of them to anybody!
Also, isn’t it weird that Prince Harry’s Spare was published this year? It feels like eons ago; I can barely remember reading it. (Unlike the scene in Susannah Constantine’s memoir where she and Princess Margaret break up a poo that won’t flush with an ivory-handled cake knife and then go back in to lunch).
