Wednesday update

I meant to post yesterday but I got caught up in a frenzy of book excitement - I have to 🤐 for now, maddeningly - and then I got weather fury again.
Today the excitement is still strong and the weather fury has (very) slightly abated. It doesn’t help that I’m cold all the time because I refuse to wear a jumper or socks in late May and so am marching about in a thin cotton dress, shivering. It’s like the denial stage of grief. I suppose I am nudging towards acceptance of the fact that there is rain in the forecast for daaaaays. (These pull-on lightweight raincoats look good, except I refuse to buy a lightweight raincoat IN MAY).
But anyway. Here are a few things that have caught my eye, apart from the prettiness of this field of barley an hour or so ago.
