Love the linky posts. Bought the Uniqlo puffer but sadly very loose at the waist so I think not good for cold air trappage. Not showing off, it was a large…think need puffer with inner drawstring - Any thoughts…
Going totally off topic to ask what you, and your learned followers, think is the best big sauté type pan. I foolishly let my son take mine back to university last week (the non stick was going) and am missing it horribly.
You have mentioned our place (think not v big though) the Stanley Tucci pans and netherton foundry. I appreciate all different but I am locked in hopeless indecision and would be grateful for help from anyone.
In return I can strongly recommend the magic mushroom pasta recipe from Bee Wilson’s a secret of cooking - the first thing I will make in my new big pan.
Love, love, love your linky posts, which sounds a bit like a euphemism for something. You could make the phone directory sound interesting, India, and you’re very generous with your content, which is really appreciated. I’m only sorry I couldn’t attend one of your signings (I live up north), but glad to hear they were a great success, and Rick Astley’s quiff didn’t disappoint.
LOVE these linky posts. I haven’t yet managed to go to them all but have saved post & I will. As ever your posts make me think you must have more hours in your day than me. You provide so much great content. I think I might have read that you’re an early riser? Maybe that’s how you do it. Sadly I’m not which should probably make me night owl but I’m not one of those either. Thanks as ever for a wonderful chatty post. I bloody love Substack & inspired by you have just managed to do a post of my own. Thanks as ever India. Hope breakfast was fabulous.
Ooh, am going to go and look at your post as soon as I've finished replying. NOT enough hours in the day, but this newsletter is my job (or one of them), so I always find time. And I do get up early, which helps.
We started beep when the children were tiny - in fact I think one of them might have started it from his wooden trike - and it's now been in use for about 30 years. BEEP BEEP when really in a hurry. It slightly takes people aback and they do get out of the way - I recommend it.
This is how it will end - the Rise of the Robots. It’s Whovian: a sweet, squeaky-voiced little robot Pied Piper-ing its way through the world. It’s all innocent, until they turn on us. Switch everything off and hide under the kitchen table.

Excellent. I'm on it.

Another time I hope (maybe up north) and thank you so much for these lovely words!

yes , I like posts with links … thank you 😊
Good to know!
Yes please to linky posts (and indeed all your posts)!
Noted and thank you!
We’ve had the tree up for a week already (it’s now fully dark at half two up here, so it’s a wonder I last that long).
Same feeling about Chinatown, so sharing some personal favourites:
Old Town 97
C&R Kitchen
Gerrard’s Corner
Four Seasons
Lanzhou Lamian Noodle Bar
Jinli
Very useful list, thank you so much. Yes, well done holding out that long, bloody hell, that's a LOT of dark.
I love the linky posts. 🥰
Oh GOOD because I like doing them.
Love all the links
Excellent.
I’m always left feeling the world is slightly more joyful after reading your posts. So so worth the money. ❤️
That's a really lovely thing to say, thank you so much!
Love your linky posts! Cheery, useful, fun and interesting! Thank you!
Haha so happy I checked - auto correct changed it to kinky posts 😂
Hahaha! And thanks.
This is so delightful and I’m still chuckling at the “Beep”
We started beep when the children were tiny - in fact I think one of them might have started it from his wooden trike - and it's now been in use for about 30 years. BEEP BEEP when really in a hurry. It slightly takes people aback and they do get out of the way - I recommend it.
Loving Arket this season - I got v nice boots (fur lined!) and jeans there
Yes, really good - and I love those boots.
That robot… *shudder*

But we LOVE Rick Astley!
It's so creepy. And sort of hilarious and terrifying at the same time.
