After dithering for a while I decided to subscribe! I’ve read your Times column for aeons .But I haven’t a clue how Substack all works or even how I logged in ( with a link from Home) I don’t seem to have a password ! Anyway I’m sure I’ll pick it up ..Looking forward to your posts & Ill have a listen to your podcast on my commute ( if I can manage to set it all up in the car) .I’m a soon to be 60 year old trying to keep up with the digital age .

You're so right about Fairy Liquid - even oil stains on clothes. The absolute joy of a discovery. I was so excited that you're writing on Substack, India - welcome and thank you for this fabulous first post!
I have a question (two years late…but I guess the Fairy Liquid is timeless…) does it have to be the green one? Or can it be any of their forays into colour, eg the yellow take which is currently in my kitchen?
My dahlias are also on their last legs but I’m currently in the denial phase of my end of summer grief so pretending they’ll still be all bright and cheerful when I look out the kitchen window in two weeks time. Always works!

Thank you so much! LOVE your Substack. (Fairy Liquid got rid of half a jar of harissa that smashed everywhere including the rug and my white dress).
