Why don’t you get a tea trolley, preferably an old wooden one, and you can wheel it in on a Sunday evening laden with sandwiches, scones, maybe a Welsh Rarebit, a Victoria sponge, wheels slightly squeaky so everyone knows tea’s coming…
There is a lovely children’s book I still have from childhood entitled, “The Little Go To Sleep Book” & one of the illustrations inside looks very similar to this
This is a gem of a picture, thank you for sharing it. I had a shower and put my pjs on at 5.30 this evening then wore them to eat a roast dinner. The perfect Winter Sunday evening
There is so much to love in this painting, but the pink and soft, sage green are heavenly. I didn't know of it and am very glad to discover it. It makes me want to have crumpets.
I looks like someone is about to come back and crack a walnut with those nutcrackers sitting on the napkin and maybe have a slice of apple with their tea…Maybe they’ve gone off to get the cheese and crackers…
You can really feel the heat from that fire... I love your picture posts. The hoar frost was magical this morning, yes. Am starting on scheduling Peasenhall Lit Fest and am wondering how we liaise about that? Is there a PM function on here that I'm not using? Lisa E
You did make me laugh with your apology about ‘hibernating’ India… I was hibernating too this morning (dog, tea, papers), didn’t leave bed until 11.30, felt very decadent…..
Also loving the pink walls! I know you've given us brilliant advice on this in the past, and I'm soon to have one of my rooms painted pink. Very excited indeed! Now if anyone needs a whole selection of sample pots....

I love the colours, it's a bit Matisse'y, no?
So funny. I thought you’d whipped it up this eve and was about to say: “But, India, you’re really fucking GOOD at this.”

You can almost feel the warmth of the fire!
Now THAT is cozy!

Love your picture posts. I love interiors paintings too, I feel they invite me in if that makes sense.
Lovely. Frost in Suffolk was something else today wasn't it?!
